South Perth Historical Society

The South Perth Historical Society was established in 1989 to stimulate public interest in South Perth's local history, encourage historical research and publication, and to promote the designation and preservation of historic sites, buildings and stories.

The Society operates from Heritage House Cultural Centre, the former Roads Board building on the corner of Mends Street and Mill Point Road in South Perth. The Society regularly displays artworks from the City of South Perth’s May and Herbert Gibbs Art Collection and other items of historic connection to the district.
