Parking in South Perth

The City continually reviews parking arrangements to accommodate supply and demand and to maximise parking efficiency within the South Perth Station Precinct and surrounding area.

The City has implemented a number of measures to manage parking in and around Mends Street as part of the Mends Street Connect South project. These include:

  • New permanent wayfinding signage to assist visitors to locate the free short-stay parking in the area, including the one-hour free parking available in the South Shore Shopping Centre undercover car park
  • A dynamic sign showing the number of available parking bays at South Shore car park
  • Three new short-term parking bays on Mends Street in place of a previous loading bay
  • Parking for construction and contractor workers on Melville Parade
