City of South Perth CEO resigns

News Update 27 October 2026

The City of South Perth notes CEO Liz Ledger’s resignation, provided on 26 October 2026. 

Ms Ledger commenced the role of CEO at the City of South Perth on 1 December 2025.  

Ms Ledger went on personal leave on 25 March 2026. On 14 August 2026, Council resolved to initiate an investigation into allegations of misconduct by Ms Ledger. The City can’t comment further as it relates to confidential employment matters. 

Current acting CEO arrangements, which have been in place since 25 March 2026, will continue. 

Council will shortly decide on the process for moving forward.
