Discover something new at the 2026 Emerging Artist Award, Exhibition and Arts Program

The City of South Perth’s 2026 Emerging Artist Award Exhibition will bring together an exciting collection of new and emerging artistic talent from Friday 9 to Saturday 17 October at South Perth Community Hall. 

A record 309 entries were received for this year’s Award, with 127 finalists selected for the exhibition, showcasing the incredible depth and diversity of rising artists and creative practice across WA.  

Come along and discover original artwork, meet the artists and support local creatives by purchasing a work to take home or by voting for the People’s Choice Award. The exhibition is open to the public from 10am-4pm daily, with free entry. 

The program also features a series of special events, including an oil painting workshop with David Ledger, a Sunday Salon exploring the intersection of emerging arts practice and profession, a seniors’ afternoon tea and a portrait drawing workshop with Desiree Crossing. 

Whether you’re looking to discover something new, add to your collection or simply enjoy some inspiring local art, there’s plenty to see and do at this year’s exhibition.
