Bring your precinct to life: $20,000 funding available for local activations

Inspired by the energy of the Manning Laneway Festival, the buzz of the Angelo Street Party or the welcoming and relaxed vibe of the Como Country Fair?  

If you have a creative idea to bring the community together and add life to your local neighbourhood, we’d love to hear it. 

The City of South Perth is inviting local businesses, community groups, sporting clubs and organisations to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for creative precinct activations. 

From street festivals and makers markets to public art, live performances and other creative activations, we're looking for bold ideas that encourage people to connect, celebrate and enjoy local places. 

EOIs open on Monday 3 August 2026 and close at 4pm on Monday 31 August 2026. 

Successful applicants may receive up to $20,000 to deliver temporary precinct activations that align with the City's vision for vibrant, welcoming and active places. Additional support may also be available, including assistance with venue hire, signage, event promotion and more. 

Projects should demonstrate strong community benefit and contribute to creating lively, engaging precincts across the City.

• Applications close: 4pm, Monday 31 August 2026 
• Assessment period: 1–11 September 2026 
• Applicants notified: Friday 18 September 2026 (approximate)
