Meet your two new council members
The City of South Perth warmly welcomes two new councillors, who were sworn in on Thursday 9 July 2026.
Gavin Denton and Bronwyn David will represent the Mill Point ward. Cr Denton has been appointed for a term ending in October 2029 while Cr David’s term will end in October 2027.
Cr Bronwyn David has lived in South Perth for more than a decade and brings a background in law, community advocacy and volunteering to Council. She is passionate about protecting the City’s natural environment and neighbourhood character, strengthening community engagement and ensuring transparent, evidence-based decision making.
Cr Gavin Denton lives in the Mill Point ward and is a lawyer with degrees and other qualifications in law and business. He is committed to improving traffic planning and community safety, expanding the City’s urban tree canopy, enhancing sporting and recreational facilities, supporting responsible and appropriate development, and ensuring ratepayer funds are spent prudently and effectively.
They join Mayor Greg Milner, Councillor André Brender-A-Brandis (Manning Ward), Councillor Blake D’Souza (Manning Ward), Councillor Kathy Lees (Como Ward) and Councillor Stephen Russell (Moresby Ward). Visit Your Mayor and Councillors for more information.
A by-election will be held in September 2026 to fill the vacant positions on Council representing the Moresby ward and Como ward.
