Mends Street in South Perth is now shining brighter following the installation of new LED festive lights.

Eighteen trees between South Perth Esplanade and Mill Point Road have been illuminated with fairy lights, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents, businesses and visitors to enjoy all year round. The energy-efficient system is designed to allow tree growth without the risk of structural damage to limbs or lights.

Located just a short stroll from Mindeerup and Mends Street Jetty, the new lighting will enhance the character and vibrancy of the precinct, making it an even more inviting place to dine, explore and take in the stunning evening views across the Swan River to the Perth city skyline.

It complements the Karl Kep Ngoornd-iny (“Fire and Water Dreaming”) evening light show at Mindeerup  and feature lighting at the Old Mill which can be illuminated in specific colours to mark days of significance, awareness campaigns and prominent events throughout the year.
