Cr Tim Houweling resigns

City of South Perth councillor Tim Houweling has announced his resignation from Council. 

Cr Houweling was elected in 2025 to represent the Mill Point ward with a vision to encourage appropriate forms of development while safeguarding the City’s unique character and protecting its greatest asset, the South Perth foreshore. 

He served on the City's Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee, CEO Evaluation Committee, City of South Perth Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Group, City of South Perth Inclusive Community Advisory Group, and was an alternate member of the Metro Inner Development Assessment Panel Group. 

On behalf of the City, Mayor Greg Milner thanked Mr Houweling for his service.  

“I’d like to thank Councillor Houweling for his contribution over the past eight months to Council and the City where he has had a strong focus on accountability and good governance,” he said.   

“We wish him the best for the future.”  

Mr Houweling’s is resignation is effective immediately.
