New murals redefine the City’s urban landscape

News Update 22 April 2026

The City of South Perth’s No More Blank Walls Mural Festival has officially wrapped up, leaving behind a striking trail of large-scale public artworks (murals) across the City.

Held from 10 to 18 April 2026, the nine-day festival transformed South Perth, Manning, Karawara and Kensington into an open-air gallery, with murals created live by a diverse lineup of local, national and international artists.

Featuring renowned names including Irish muralist Aches alongside artists Amok Island, Fieldey, James Giddy, Jarni, Rob Jenkins, Loretta Lizzio, George Rose and Justine McAllister, the festival celebrated creativity, community and culture.

Visitors engaged with the artistic process through live painting, workshops, talks and interactive events.

While the festival has concluded, its impact will endure. The new murals reflect the City’s identity, natural beauty and rich diversity, creating lasting public art for residents and visitors to enjoy.

If you haven’t seen the murals yet, explore the trail map and make a day of it.
