Celebrate Harmony Week 2026

Discover, experience and celebrate our community's rich cultural diversity during Harmony Week – a nationwide celebration recognising Australia’s multicultural community – from 14–21 March 2026.
Join us across Manning and South Perth Libraries for a range of free activities suitable for all ages. Highlights include:
- Mind Lounge: Ikebana Japanese Flower Arranging: Learn the art of Japanese flower arranging at Manning Library in a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop.
- Story Time with Lion Dance: Enjoy a spectacular lion dance, songs and crafts at South Perth Community Hall. Sessions cater for children aged 3–5 and older.
- Kids Craft Club: Get creative at South Perth Library and celebrate Irish culture with fun, hands-on crafts for children aged 6–12.
- Interactive Story Time with Lion Dance: Enjoy a spectacular lion dance, songs and crafts at Manning Library. Sessions cater for children aged 3–5 and older.
- Digital Library Drop-In: Discover multilingual eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, music and movies at Manning Library.
Popcorn & Pictures: Le Comte de Monte-Cristo: Watch this French classic at South Perth Library with complimentary popcorn, tea and sweet treats.
Each library will also feature special cultural displays throughout the week, offering plenty of opportunities to discover something new.
