Adoption of the City of South Perth Fencing Amendment Local Law 2025

Council resolved on 16 December 2025 to adopt the City of South Perth Fencing Amendment Local Law 2025.

The purpose and effect of this local law is:

Purpose - To amend the existing Fencing Local Law 2024 in line with the undertakings provided to the Joint Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation by Council at its meeting held 24 June 2025.

Effect - To establish the minimum requirements for fencing within the district.

The Fencing Amendment Local Law 2025 was gazetted on 13 February 2026 and will come into operation on 27 February 2026.
