New battery recycling bins now at South Perth and Manning libraries

Battery collection bins at the South Perth and Manning libraries have been replaced with new Ecobatt mixed battery recycling bins.

These upgraded bins feature capacity indicators, fire detection and temperature monitoring systems, and can automatically alert facility managers of fire risks.

Designed for the safe handling of high-risk batteries and mobile phones, the bins will support secure collection and storage.

Eco-cycle, a National Battery Recycling Scheme participant, will continue to collect batteries free of charge.
