As part of the City’s 2024/25 works program, three new coloured feature lights have been installed around the Lemon Scented Gum at Moresby Reserve, Kensington, at the intersection of South Terrace and Douglas Avenue.

The lights operate on an automated schedule—illuminating in full colour from sunset to 10:00pm, then shifting to a warm white glow until dawn. The installation enhances the amenity and night-time character of the reserve and surrounding commercial precinct.

Lighting colours will change throughout the year to mark significant cultural and community events, such as yellow for R U OK? Day, red and yellow for NAIDOC Week, and purple, green and white for International Women’s Day.

This project supports the City’s ongoing commitment to festive and community lighting.
