New online portal for City grants and rebates now live

Applications open from 1 July 2025 

The City of South Perth has launched a new online platform to make applying for grants and rebates simpler and more accessible. 

The new online portal offers a faster, easier way to apply. You can create an account and submit your application in just a few steps. 

From 1 July 2025, eligible residents and organisations can use the new system to apply for a range of support programs, including: 

Community Development Grant 

This grant provides up to $5,000 in funding for non-recurrent projects that benefit the local community. Open all year round until funds are exhausted, it supports community groups, sporting clubs and other organisations. Over the past three years, the City has supported more than 80 projects through this program, including Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations, club room upgrades, a memory café to support local people and their families living with dementia and creation of an Aboriginal cultural space at Collier Primary School.  


Individual Development Grant 

Available to City of South Perth residents selected to represent Western Australia or Australia in interstate or international championships, competitions or cultural, academic and community service activities. 


Home Safety and Security Equipment Rebate Program 

Residents may be eligible for rebates on items such as security cameras, sensor lights, digital locks and security screens etc. Last financial year, the City provided 212 rebates through this program.
