New Lake Douglas footbridge opens
Construction on the new Lake Douglas footbridge in South Perth is now complete, with the bridge set to officially open for public use today.
Residents can now look forward to a scenic walk across the lake and improved accessibility, thanks to the completion of final improvements, including the widening of the adjoining concrete path.
Construction began in February and reached an exciting milestone in April when the bridge structure was installed on site.
This was followed by the addition of handrails and timber decking to bring the new bridge to life.
