Cr Mary Choy resigns
City of South Perth Councillor Mary Choy has announced her resignation from Council for personal reasons, effective immediately.
First elected as a Mill Point ward Councillor in 2019, Ms Choy has advocated tirelessly to safeguard the beautiful and diverse South Perth landscape and create a sense of community in the City.
On behalf of the City, Mayor Greg Milner thanked Ms Choy for her years of dedicated service to the community.
“Ms Choy has contributed to the City in numerous ways beyond her role as Councillor, including serving on the Audit, Risk and Governance Committee, the CEO Evaluation Committee, and as a Delegate to the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Group,” Mr Milner said.
“We wish Ms Choy all the very best for the future and sincerely thank her for her service to the City of South Perth,” he added.
Ms Choy’s position will be filled in the upcoming October elections.
