Collier Park Golf Course redevelopment progresses to design phase
The redevelopment of Collier Park Golf Course has moved a step closer following the endorsement of formal agreements between the City of South Perth and lessee Clublinks Management Pty Ltd at Tuesday night’s Council Meeting.
The milestone means the project can now progress to the next stage – the preparation of a detailed design, advertising tenders for construction and submission of the Development Application to the WA Planning Commission.
The Collier Park Golf Course Redevelopment is a $19.8 million project to update the facilities that surround the 27-hole golf course, owned by the City of South Perth and managed by Clublinks.
To complement the 27-hole public golf course and 18-hole mini golf course, the project will include:
- a new restaurant/cafe
- a new entertainment-based double-story driving range fitted with technology
- a dedicated function space
- padel tennis courts
- a new retail shop and office space
- an all-abilities playground
- commercial/community space
There will not be any changes to the golf course layout as part of the redevelopment project and the course will continue to operate during construction.
Mayor Greg Milner said the latest milestone paved the way for the local community – and golf lovers from across Perth - to benefit from an enhanced and contemporary recreation and golfing experience.
“This redevelopment will enable the Collier Park Golf Course to become a true community hub where quality golfing experiences integrate with leisure, entertainment and social connection,” he said.
“This latest approval is part of a multi-step process that will ensure we can create an exceptional venue for everyone to enjoy, while carefully balancing the need to protect and celebrate the beautiful natural environment.”
Construction is expected to start in late 2025, dependent on the results of the construction tender process.
