South Perth Library fish tank revamped
The much-loved fish tank at South Perth Library has undergone an exciting transformation, offering a fresh new look and even more opportunities for community engagement and learning.
The tank has been revamped to feature smaller community fish, carefully selected to thrive in the environment and grow along with the tank. These new residents bring increased visual appeal and create an engaging way for visitors to observe natural life cycles and ecosystems up close.
This upgrade was prompted by the need to prioritise the wellbeing of the previous fish. Many of them had outgrown the tank and, unfortunately, were at risk of injury in the confined space. These fish have now been rehomed with the expert care of Aquotix Aquariums, ensuring their health and comfort in a more suitable habitat.
The new tank setup is designed not only to captivate library visitors but also to serve as an educational tool. Patrons can learn about aquatic ecosystems, growth patterns, and the importance of sustainable care for living creatures.
Drop by South Perth Library to see the new fish tank and explore the fascinating underwater world it has to offer. There are even toddler steps available to help your little ones view the tank.
