The City has developed a draft Urban Forest Strategy to identify opportunities to manage the challenges of urbanisation, development, climate change and population growth for our future generations.
Replacement for vandalised tree
A replacement tree has been planted on the South Perth Foreshore in place of a mature plane tree that was vandalised with a chainsaw in June 2017.

Upcoming local government elections
Enrolments for October 2017 local government elections close on 1 September 2017. The City holds postal elections, which are conducted on its behalf by the Western Australian Electoral Commission.
South Perth Station Precinct Reference Group Members selected
The City has selected the members of the inaugural South Perth Station Precinct Reference Group from over 40 expressions of interest which were received.

Top award for Millers Pool
The restoration and upgrade of Millers Pool on the South Perth foreshore, by the City of South Perth has been recognised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects WA.
Water Corporation night works
Water Corporation will be undertaking night work on Mill Point Road from Sunday 30 July to Thursday 3 August between 7pm and 6am.
New footpath construction Roebuck Drive
A new footpath will be constructed on the southern side of Roebuck Drive between Mt Henry Road and Hope Avenue Reserve in Salter Point.
