Federal funding sought for recreation and aquatic facility
City of South Perth Mayor Sue Doherty and CEO Geoff Glass visited Canberra this month to seek pre-election support for a proposed Recreation and Aquatic Facility (RAF) to be located in the City of South Perth.

Biosecurity alert - Asian paddle crab
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development has advised the City of South Perth that Asian paddle crab (Charybdis japonica) has been confirmed via taxonomic and molecular analysis. A single mature female crab was caught at Blackwall Reach, Swan River, Perth, by a recreational fisher on 5 December 2018.

The City’s contractor (WCP Civil) will be rehabilitating traffic islands on Thelma Street between Bland Street and Murray Street from Monday 17 December to Friday 21 December 2019 (8am to 5pm).

Artist invites donations of envelopes for artwork about memories
Artist Megan Baker has been commissioned by the City of South Perth to create a collection of art work, to be shown at the Manning Community Centre's Exhibition Boxes from February 2019. Megan is seeking donations of used envelopes to create authentic art about memories.
