Winter tree planting commences
In July, the City will start its annual winter tree planting season. Each year, around 1,200 trees are planted throughout City streetscapes and reserves.

Approved works within the South Perth Station Precinct for the week commencing 26 June 2017.
Water Corporation will be replacing the water main pipes on Mill Point Rd and Labouchere Rd over the coming weeks. This work will ensure a reliable water supply into the future.
Water Corporation emergency sewer works will take place on Mill Point Rd between Labouchere Rd and Mends St from 7pm Friday 23 June to 5am Monday 26 June.
The City will celebrate NAIDOC Week 2017, which runs 2-9 July with a series of events and activities to acknowledge the richness of Aboriginal history, culture and achievements.
The City of South Perth has experienced an incident of wilful damage to a tree on public land. A mature plane tree, estimated to be over 70 years old and 20 metres tall has been vandalised with what appears to be a chainsaw.
