A Monsignor and a Yogi walk into the Windsor Hotel...
From the Seventh-Day Adventist camps at the Zoo to the Battle of Forrest Street (Catholics 1 - Methodists 1, after extra time), South Perth's religious background is a complicated tale.
Join the City's Local History Librarian for an evening of mild sectarianism, politics from the pulpit and predictions of the Apocalypse from a naked Frenchman on Mill Point Road.
This will be a contemplative look at the religious and spiritual life of the City of South Perth.
Reflect is a series of local history talks presented by South Perth Local History Librarian Anthony Styan who will take you on adventures through archives and archaeology, and learn about the odd, original and often interesting history within the City of South Perth.
In the interests of more sustainable living please BYO mug and/or water bottle. Tea, coffee and cold filtered water will be available.
