Join the experienced Ponder Brush instructor to try the ancient art form of Chinese Calligraphy – no expectations, no pressure just time to relax and enjoy some arty time out.
Chinese Calligraphy is both a form of writing and artistic expression that can be traced back to the Shang dynasty of 1100BC. The flowing form of calligraphy is achieved through use of special brushes and ink on paper or silk.
Expert tuition is given and then you have time to experiment with this ancient art form, while the instructor assists as needed.
The workshop is free, however places are limited and bookings are essential.
Mind Lounge is a free daytime series for adults presented by South Perth Libraries. An opportunity to learn a craft or have a go at something creative, discover a new game or stretch your mind trying out something new in a fun and expectation free workshop. The activities are designed to entertain and relax. They are facilitated by an experienced artist, teacher or community worker.
