South Perth Libraries and Fremantle Press are delighted to invite you to an evening with award winning writer Marcela Polain who will discuss and read from her stunning new book Driving into the Sun.
Driving into the Sun explores life in 1960s Perth for 11 year old Orla, her mother and little sister in the aftermath of her father’s tragic death.
A beautifully written tale of girlhood and grief, burgeoning adolescence, family and the perils of growing up in a man’s world without a father’s guidance.
Driving into the Sun is a perfect book club book due to its exploration of themes such as grief, family, girlhood and sexuality.
