Presented by the City of South Perth and supported by Lotterywest, the 2019 South Perth Australia Day Celebration Zone features multiple event areas with 100 free activities suitable for toddlers through to adults. New this year - Stunt Jump, Basket Connect 4, Airbrush Tattoos and the Big Wedgie Water Slides plus lots more!

In the Art Tent kids can be inspired by what they love about Australia while decorating a kite or a paper umbrella, making a friendship bracelet, creating a beautiful sand art card or making an original fridge magnet.

Roving entertainers and performers will add to the fun atmosphere: Balloon Artistry by Aaron Smith, Samba Band Beleza Samba, Puppeteers from DNA Puppetry, Hey Presto Magician, Hula Lula Ladies Band, Shrinking Violet Stilt Walkers and the Dinosaur Kids Train.

Spanning over 10 hectares along the South Perth foreshore, there will also be a range of food vendors and ample shade and picnic areas for families to enjoy. The event provides the opportunity to come together and enjoy Australia Day in a safe, alcohol and smoke free environment.
All activities in the Celebration Zone will wrap up at 7.30pm to allow you to find a spot to watch the City of Perth Skyworks fireworks display at 8pm.

Full details about the Australia Day program including free event shuttle, road closures, ACROD parking etc are available on our Australia Day page.
