During BirdLife Australia’s National Bird Week, 23-29 October, join staff from the City of South Perth's environment team for a guided walk along the unique Waterford foreshore through parklands and remnant wetlands observing and recording birds as you go.

Information gathered during the survey will be recorded and sent to BirdLife Australia and will be used in their ongoing monitoring programs.

Participants can expect to observe up to 40 species in the area including Osprey, Black Swans, Grebes, Great Egret, Australian Darters and maybe even a Stirated Pardalote.

The walk is approximately 3km on sealed pathways and suitable for people with a general level of fitness. Families and children (supervised) are encouraged to attend.

If you have your own binoculars please bring them along.

A light morning tea will be provided.
