As part of the Aussie Backyard Bird Count, the City is hosting a free nest box building workshop. You will be able to build a nest box for your garden and all materials are supplied.
Nest boxes play an important role in wildlife conservation in areas where natural nesting hollows are not available. In urban environments in particular it is important to provide nesting areas for native birds in combination with landscaping to provide natural food sources for the birds.
