A Season of Arts, Events and Culture 2018 - 2019

The City is currently planning the annual arts, events and culture program for the spring to autumn season, running from November 2018 to April 2019.

Throughout the season, the City will celebrate the community and our spaces through unique events, temporary public art and an array of cultural activities. The program will feature the City’s iconic Australia Day celebrations on 26 January 2019 and South Perth Sounds (formally the Fiesta Concert), the City’s annual community concert.

Other key events will include a concert for seniors, children’s theatre and the return of ‘Find Me’ activities popping up across the City.

Call for Expressions of Interest

The City is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) from event organisers, community groups, businesses, performing and visual artists to be a part of the City’s arts and events season. This is a great opportunity to connect with the community, showcase your talent or organisation and align yourself with a reputable brand.

If selected, your activity will be promoted and supported as part of the City’s six-month promotional campaign.

Arts. Events. Culture 2018/19

The City of South Perth develops an annual summer calendar of events that will be printed and distributed twice over the summer months (November-January and February-April). The City is open to community groups, organisations, businesses and artistic individuals to apply to be part of the calendar program for the upcoming season. Places are limited, so a selection panel will select a diverse range for the publication.

The calendar can include activities like:

  • Free or low cost community events
  • Anniversary or celebration events open to the community
  • Activation events open to the community
  • Exhibitions/talks open to the community
  • Live musical performance / live theatre / comedy show / other live and self-promoted performance
  • Workshop, seminar or other creative project
  • Artist in residence – must suggest a venue
  • Other types of performance art or creative projects
  • Your idea?

Expressions of Interest for February - April 2019 events, activities or City event inclusion will be considered until the end of October 2018. Events and activities for the November 2018 - January 2019 period have now closed.

To submit an Expressions of Interest, complete the Expression of Interest online form or email events@southperth.wa.gov.au.

We encourage you to call us to discuss your ideas! The City may be able to assist and can offer advice on the planning of your event or activity. Contact our Cultural Development Team on 9474 0777.
