We are excited to launch a new self-guided tour as part of the Discover South Perth app. The Como tour takes you on a walk through history from the fun and frivolous past of Como Beach to the beginnings of the iconic Cygnet Theatre. 

To celebrate, the City is running walking tours of Como in August and September. Join our Local History Librarian Anthony Styan for a tale of malapropic politicians, medical experiments (both goat and human), determined dogs, rockers, mods and too many tea rooms to count. How much do you really know about your Preston Street haunts?

The tour begins and ends at the Comer Street carpark, opposite the Pagoda.

Tours will run from 6pm on the following dates.

Anthony is the Local History Librarian for the City of South Perth. He gives regular talks and guided walking tours to highlight areas of Local History. Anthony is passionate about bringing history to life; his talks are filled with fascinating facts and humour.
