In celebration of Library & Information Week 2021 join the City’s libraries for an author talk across five popular book genres: historical fiction, crime, science fiction, non-fiction and biography.

Meet up-and-coming authors Amanda Bridgeman, Alexander Thorpe, Anne-Louise Willoughby, David Price and Josephine Taylor as they discuss their new works and find out what drew them to their genre of choice.

Discover why crime is the most popular genre worldwide. Understand the challenges of writing historical fiction. Explore the relationship between science and science fiction. Find out why we love reading about other people’s lives.

The City will also be launching our new Book Club Sets - rather than buying books, you can hire a set of ten copies of a title with everything you need for your group discussion, including discussion notes, all in one convenient bag!

Book sales and signing will be available.
