Manning Senior Citizens celebrate 32nd anniversary
Last week I joined the Manning Senior Citizens Centre at a Great Gatsby themed luncheon celebrating their 32nd Anniversary.
Over 100 people marked the occasion and life membership was conferred on Ida Watkins, Josephine Symes and John Collins, I would like to congratulate them each for their contribution to the Seniors.
The Manning Seniors membership has grown to over 1000, a real achievement that reflects an organisation going from strength to strength and providing a wonderful service to our community. The Manning Men’s Shed, on the site of Manning Seniors, only opened in March of this year has a current membership of 75 and is clearly an integral organisation within our city.
It’s great to see the Manning community growing and the construction of the Manning Hub will only add to the vibrancy of this part of the City.
