City-wide Parking Strategy - Have Your Say

Media Release 15 July 2015
The City of South Perth is preparing a City-wide parking strategy that will provide a long-term plan for the provision and management of parking within the City.

As part of the development of the parking strategy, the City has commenced extensive stakeholder consultation.

Using an interactive mapping tool for the first time, by visiting the City's website participants can place a 'pin' on a direct location within the City of South Perth. and provide comment on a parking issue or make a suggestion about how parking could be improved in that particular location.

City of South Perth Mayor Sue Doherty said, “We're aiming to make stakeholder engagement as interesting and engaging as possible, in order to get constructive feedback from a wide-range of residents, business owners and visitors in the City.”

“The interactive mapping tool is instant, enables web users the freedom to participate and share their thoughts and issues, while at the same time seeing what other people have to say.”

In addition to the online mapping tool, the City is facilitating two workshops, hosting an online discussion forum and running an online survey that can also be completed in hard-copy format and returned to the City's Civic Centre.
