When did demolition start?

The demolition of the existing facilities including old Manning Hall commenced the first week of August 2014.

When is construction on the hub expected to start?

Construction is currently expected to start in May 2015. 

Does anything to do with the hub still need to be passed by council? If so, what?
A report to endorse the final design and construction costs will be presented to Council later this year, with a subsequent report presented early in 2015 to award the construction tender.

How much is the project costing?
The overall cost of the project is $16 million.

When is it expected to be completed?
The construction of the new community facility is expected to be completed in late 2016.

The facility will include a new Manning Hall, Manning Library, Manning Rippers Football Club, Manning Child Health Clinic, Moorditj Keila and a new purpose built playgroup/toy library facility.  Other components such as the sale and development of the commercial lots, redevelopment of the sporting oval, and public art may extend past this date.
