What will the Manning Community Hub offer residents and community members?

The Manning Community Hub is a $16 million landmark iconic civic project to develop the precinct bounded by Bradshaw Crescent, Conochie Crescent and Welwyn Avenue. It will serve residents in Manning and Salter Point as well as the broader community.

The City of South Perth initiated the project in response to studies undertaken demonstrating that the existing community facilities were ageing and reaching the end of their useful life and to meet the changing demographic needs of both Manning and Salter Point.

What is the importance of the Hub? How will it benefit the community?
The aim of Manning Community Hub is to provide a vibrant, connected and attractive facility integrating community, commercial and social activities for the local community.

The Manning Community Hub plans to deliver sustainable, modern and multipurpose spaces for groups and community use.

The proposed design activates the area and encourages passive surveillance, based on the principles of crime prevention through environmental design.

The proposed Hub includes a new state of the art Manning Library, relocated from Manning Road, a new Community Hall and meeting spaces with modern facilities. Family orientated services including a child health clinic and an area for new early years services incorporating a toy library and playgroup in one convenient location.

Creation of a vibrant cultural precinct includes the incorporation of the Moorditj Keila Aboriginal group into the new facility.

James Miller Oval will be extended with the new Manning Rippers Football clubrooms incorporated into the Manning Community Hub.
