FRESH LEADERSHIP FOR FAMILIES, SENIORS AND BUSINESS - that's why I'm running for Mayor.

My wife and I are longtime residents of the City, and we couldn't have picked a better place to live and raise our children. We love this area.

I was elected in 2017 after campaigning on rates relief and improving Council’s financial management.

Before my election, rates increased 4.9% (on average) over nine years. Since my election, Council has DELIVERED rates movements of just 1.6% and 1.0% (below inflation for the first time this decade).

But there's more to do. As Mayor, I will lead a Council that prioritises sound finances, sensible rates, cost-effective services, and certainty for businesses, in a way that supports our vibrant and sustainable community.

With your support, I'll bring my background as a commercial lawyer, board director, aged care volunteer and Councillor to deliver the fresh, outcomes-driven leadership we need.

My family and I have lived in Kensington and Como since 2002. We love living here and we do not want it to lose its character. I’m sure you feel the same.

The proposed increase in housing and apartment density presents a challenge that will need to be managed responsibly and fairly. I can offer the Moresby residents support during this transition by:

1. I have experienced the state government’s JDAP planning approval process with many lessons learnt. I wish to see these lessons implemented by the City to ensure the planning for large developments is equitable for residents.

2. I am a professional engineer of 25years experience. I wish to use these skills to ensure planning and decision making is thorough and accountable.

3. I am independent. I am not supported by any business nor affiliated with any political party.

Please support me so I can support you.

Cam Tinley

My name is Cam Tinley and I have resided in Roseberry Avenue, South Perth for the past twenty-five years.

Increases in high-rise development will have a negative impact on values of existing highrise properties and also has the potential to destroy the village atmosphere of our fabulous suburb. I am against any further high-rise development.

5G technology has the potential to cause physical harm to residents and pets needs to be thoroughly investigated before it is introduced into South Perth. I have been a Science teacher for 37 years and for the past 15 years have extensively studied the effects of nonionising radiation on humans and animals. Download speeds do not take priority over health.

Crime has suddenly become a serious issue in our suburb. Discussions need to take place between the City of South Perth and the State Government to resolve problems affecting home owners and residents.
